Fission Vertical Step Out Intersects 6mt Of 14.70% U308 At Unconformity

Fission Energy and its joint venture partner Kepco Consortium have said that drill hole WAT10-071, a 10mt vertical step-out south of the high grade mineralization encountered in hole WAT10-070B (17mt grading 3.99% U308 including 7mt grading 7.48%), intersected 6mt of 14.70% U308 at the unconformity (199mt-205mt).

Virginia Energy Resources has said that a scoping study has begun on the Coles Hill uranium project, Virginia, US. Lyntek of Lakewood, Colorado, an independent, full-service engineering firm, has been commissioned to lead the study, which is expected to be completed in the first half of 2010.

US Court of Appeals Upholds NRC Licensing For Churchrock, Crownpoint Projects

Uranium Resources (URI), a uranium exploration, development and production company, has said that the US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit denied the petition by the Southwest Research and Information Center and other parties for review of URI’s Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) license to conduct in situ recovery (ISR) uranium mining at four locations in McKinley County, New Mexico and upheld the NRC’s licensing decision in all respects.

Artemis Resources Commences Drilling Program In West Africa

Artemis Resources has commenced a drilling exploration program on the Artemis joint venture (JV) project in Niger, West Africa. The Tagaza uranium project is located within 100km of two operating uranium mines producing 7.5% of uranium supply from Africa's uranium ores and is situated adjacent to the Chinese-owned Teguidda uranium mine.
